路侧安全设施设计

                ——美国加州路侧安全实践的启示

摘 要：本文在回顾加州的路侧安全实践的基础上，提出了进一步改进我国路侧安全设施的规范制定，设计实践和施工要求的几点启示。这包括制订高速公路路侧安全设计标准，提高路侧防护设施防撞标准，深化护栏等防护设施的设计并在设计中充分考虑施工及养护中的交通安全等等。这些启示对提高我国路侧安全设计水平，减少路侧安全事故，促进路侧安全主动防治均大有裨益。

                     Roadside Safety Design: Lessons Learned from the California Experience

Abstract: In this paper, the roadside safety design practice and lessons learned from the State of California was reviewed. A couple of recommendations were made regarding the further improvement of roadside safety design standards and specifications, design practice, and construction activities. These may include establishing freeway roadside safety design standard, increasing the crashworthiness of roadside safety appurtenances, refining appurtenance design by considering easy construction, efficient operations, and safe repair and maintenance. These recommendations will help improve roadside safety design, reduce roadside-related traffic accidents, and facilitate proactive accident prevention.
